Protest Grotesk

About the Typeface

Protest Grotesk is a friendly yet straightforward low-contrast sans-serif, available in a wide range of weights. Inspired by late 19th- and early 20th-century geometric sans-serifs like Kabel and Futura, while also drawing on legibility-focused classics such as Akzidenz-Grotesk, it adds a modern twist that works beautifully in both display and text settings. With a balance of sporty, headline-ready sharpness and reliable, easy-to-use structure, Protest Grotesk excels in both print and digital contexts, making it a versatile tool for today’s design challenges.

Linoleum supports my Head — just another Saturday... Am I odd or am I not?
In 1982 Milo went to College, on May 16th
Still wondering how the cat got so fat. In the end my heart was yearning for a perfect government. Paisley satin lined – no more eating crumbs. Well, I never had the itch...
Cool and condescending, almost fossilized. “Hey act your age!” It’s still summer somewhere, stop wasting precious life. What a mindgame – rule the roost, major cliché. My favorite hockey team are struggling. I start losing trust. Well, time to wipe away those tears. I feel like a victim of the laissez faire – 10.000 voices. Recently I have been wondering where all the stupid people are from. What made them become so dumb? I guess I'll blame it on the greediocracy. What a great 18 hour holiday it was.
Integrety won’t keep you warm and sane. He lost his humor years ago. Flannel armies stormed the basements, spitting off-beat wisdom between pizza boxes and spilled soda. Mohawks were passports; leather jackets, secret handshakes. Distorted riffs were the currency of rebellion, and every drum solo was a minor existential crisis. Zines whispered conspiracies about skateboards, cereal, and the occasional lost sock. Somewhere, a band shouted about heartbreak while the bassist Googled “how to survive adulthood.” Circle pits were accidental therapy sessions, and stage dives doubled as low-budget flying lessons. Punk wasn’t a style—it was a series of very loud, slightly illegal life hacks.
Somewhere between a half-empty soda and a smashed guitar pedal, someone was scribbling zines about skateboards, cereal, and the proper etiquette for moshing on a Tuesday. Distorted riffs weren’t music—they were philosophical treatises written in feedback. The bassist Googled “how to survive adulthood” while the vocalist screamed about heartbreak, suburbia, or the urgent need to reject all authority. Tour vans were as sacred as cathedrals, fueled by instant coffee, energy drinks, and the occasional dream. Fans collected pins like currency and lyrics like fortune cookies, decoding meaning from half-shouted choruses and spittle-stained flyers. Every show ended with someone bleeding, someone laughing, and everyone questioning the rules of the universe.
Spray paint fumes mixed with the smell of cheap beer and broken dreams. Flannel shirts were camouflage, sneakers were tactical, and every stage was a tiny warzone. The drummer played like he had a personal vendetta against time, while the singer shouted slogans that may have meant something once, but now just sounded like poetry for misfits. Skateboards clattered on cracked sidewalks as if the pavement owed them money. Backstage, someone argued with a roadie about whether sadness could be measured in decibels. Zines circulated like secret scrolls, filled with hand-drawn diagrams of pogo techniques, tips for sneaking snacks into shows, and conspiracy theories involving the mayor, a raccoon, and a stolen microphone. Circle pits were sacred rituals, moshing a form of meditation, and stage dives were the closest anyone got to flying without insurance. Every lyric was half manifesto, half inside joke. Fans collected pins, patches, and tiny existential crises. Vans smelled like exhaustion and glue, fueled by pizza, caffeine, and the sheer will to yell at the world. Punk was never just music; it was chaos organized into four-minute bursts, laughter disguised as rebellion, and the comforting knowledge that somewhere, in a dingy club or a friend’s basement, someone else was pogoing to the same nonsense and loving every second.
